The Tonkinese was originally a cross between the Burmese and Siamese breeds. A distinguishing feature of this breed is the aqua colored eyes. Tonkinese cats enjoy the companionship of both people and other cats. They make wonderful family pets. Being shorthaired cats, they require less care. Their colors come in three varieties: Pointed, Mink and Solid. Both Persians and Tonkinese make wonderful companions!
